Operational since 2000, Central Queensland Exploration has continued to improve the quality of services offered to its clients in a number of capacities. These key areas include investing in new equipment and staff development. Central Queensland Exploration utilises a growing fleet of modern drilling rigs, including the newly purchased KWL1600, operated by its experienced and dedicated employee base of sixteen.
Central Queensland Exploration is committed to providing safe, efficient and cost effective drilling services and ensures a safe and efficient working environment for both personnel and clients through its first class drill management system.
Central Queensland Exploration is widely recognised for its professional and reliable services and ability to ‘get the job done right the first time’. Since its formation, Central Queensland Exploration has subsequently developed a solid relationship with a number of clients, presently all three drill rigs are currently contracted to BMA coal on long term contracts.
Central Queensland Exploration offers 40 years of combined experience in the drilling industry through its two managing directors; Matthew Bredhauer and Stuart Bredhauer who built on the business on their personal commitment to honesty, integrity and hard work.

Matthew |
Matthew brings over 22 years of experience in the drilling industry to the business which began with employment for Weston Drilling. After proven competency in his field, Matthew acquired his own drilling equipment in 1991. Visible commitment, quality of work and a ‘safety first’ attitude, he built a successful exploration company, Australian Coal and Mineral Exploration, which was sold in 2000.
The twenty-two years of practical drilling experience has earned Matthew extensive experience in coal exploration since his career commenced at South Blackwater Mine. This experience has been gained at numerous locations throughout the Bowen, Callide, Tarong and Surat Basins.
As an owner/operator, Matthew actively maintains quality of service and a high standard of performance drilling through a detailed and practiced safety standard.

Stuart |
Stuart has gained considerable experience in different drilling methods through his decade of involvement in the drilling industry. Stuart’s ‘hands on’ approach to drilling means he is able to personally contribute to the drilling process.
Stuart’s roles within Central Queensland Exploration include assisting with day-to-day drilling activities, logistical support, formulating procedures, process planning and client liaison.
